Media Marketing Internship - Summer 2015

Part-time 15-20 hours/week (unpaid)

Do you have a background in business, marketing, design, or fashion? Do you love the outdoors? Are you an adventurer? If you answered yes to these questions then you just might qualify for our summer internship program. We emphasize a “work hard, play harder" lifestyle and love to ride bikes, make love, and get lost in the wilderness. We are looking for interns this summer to join us in these pursuits from mid-June through August and assist us in marketing and promotional efforts, photo and video production, product merchandising, and much more.  

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have expertise in all things related to social content creation, channel optimization and brand consistency. The candidate will collaborate closely with the team to create content, monitor media channels, and evaluate successful strategies.  This position requires motivation, creativity, incredible writing skills, and a passion and pride for representing TAHOEMADE and engaging through social media channels. A good understanding of social media tactics and metrics and the desire to analyze and understand what is working and why.


> Create consistency in brand voice, presence, tone, and messaging across all social channels
> Manage the tactical organic social media plan and editorial calendar, including writing, curating, and scheduling all posts
> Establish a cadence of writing short, impactful blog posts
> Monitor online media coverage results, engage network and community conversations, and develop and maintain social media and third-party relationships (ie with bloggers, industry experts, thought leaders, partners, etc.)
> Develop and execute successful organic social media tactics that align with larger integrated marketing campaigns
> Help increase engagement and increase followers across all social media channels
> Track, measure, and analyze social campaign performance, and regularly update management


> A passion for social media (especially Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn) and the curiosity and drive to experiment and evolve the strategy
> A deep understanding of what works on each channel and how to best represent TAHOEMADE on each while staying true to our brand
> Excellent written and editorial skills and experience being the social voice of the company
> Experience measuring, analyzing, and presenting the results of social media campaigns: what worked, what didn’t, and what to change next time
> Proficient photography/videography skills
> Proficient in Photoshop and/or Lightroom
> An outgoing and sociable personality
